The role in “Home Alone”

Kieran Culkin is no longer just known to most people as the brother of Macaulay Culkin. With his role as Roman Roy in “Succession” and various engagements on Broadway, he has developed into a serious character actor over the course of his career who knows how to use his humor pointedly. This has now been recognized with a Golden Globe – after he had already been nominated several times, he won the coveted award for the first time on Sunday evening (January 7th).

In his first role, however, he was even younger than his brother Macaulay – at the age of eight he also appeared in “Home Alone”. He played Fuller, Kevin’s little cousin, who occasionally wets the bed at night and has a fondness for Pepsi. There was no way Kevin wanted to sleep in the same bed with him.

On social networks like The Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series shows that “Succession” opened up completely new avenues for the actor. And some people are also happy for the fictional character “Fuller” and write: “Justice!”

Kieran Culkin: His amusing acceptance speech

Visibly nervous, the actor accepted his Golden Globe, revealed that he had to burp out of fear, and then apologized for the oversharing – “I should have just come up and said thank you.” Kieran Culkin also said a few words to Pedro Pascal that made the audience laugh: “Oh, Pedro, mine!” No wonder “Saturday Night Live” already invited him as a host – comedy is obviously good for him. The big winner of the evening was “Oppenheimer”. Christopher Nolan’s film won five Golden Globes, including best drama film and best director. Cillian Murphy was also named best actor for his portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer.
