Paris Brunner is once again making headlines for Bundesliga soccer team Borussia Dortmund. After the U17 national player and World Cup hero was temporarily removed from BVB’s U19 squad last October following an unspecified incident, he has now made the next misstep at the professionals’ winter training camp in Marbella, Spain.

As a “Sky” report said on Sunday evening, the 17-year-old is said to have left his hotel room without permission. The incident is said to have occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday, according to the media report.

As a result, Brunner is said not to have been alone in the action: his A-youth friend Cole Campbell is also said to have been outside the hotel room after midnight without permission.

The coaching team around head coach Edin Terzic is said to have caught the two boys trying to escape from the rooms, according to Sky.

Are Brunner and Campbell still at risk of internal punishment?

Whether and how Brunner and Campbell will be sanctioned for their offense in the team headquarters in Marbella was not yet finalized on Sunday. It is therefore possible that both youngsters will no longer be allowed to take part in BVB team training and will be removed from the test match squad on Tuesday against Standard Liège.

Both Brunner and Campbell were allowed to go to the winter training camp with the BVB professional team for the first time. It is still completely unclear what consequences her alleged misstep could have for the rest of the Bundesliga season.

Paris Brunner in particular is considered an absolute top talent in the ranks of the Black and Yellows. After his five tournament goals at the successful U17 World Cup in Indonesia in the DFB jersey, he was in Borussia Dortmund’s matchday squad for the first time before the winter break in December.
