Two teenagers who forcibly took a phone from a peer in Amstelveen yesterday did not get away with it. The victim was able to accurately describe the two, allowing the police to arrest them a short time later.
The teenagers struck at the Parlevinker in Amstelveen last night around 6 p.m. They force the victim to the ground and try to steal his phone, the police said in a message on Facebook.
The victim manages to quickly call 112 and provide a clear description. This allows the police to conduct a targeted search in the neighborhood. “Not much later we found the suspects and arrested them. They fully matched the description,” the police wrote.
In any case, the teenagers had to spend the night in a police cell and the victim filed a report.
There was another one last September street robbery wave in Amstelveen. Then it struck three times in one weekend. In October, two minors were arrested for the violent robbery of a peer on the Legmeerdijk.
