Hélène Hendriks is doing exceptionally well as the winter replacement of Today Inside. She even achieved her highest score ever last night. “Cheers for Eva Jinek!”
It’s incredible how quickly Hélène Hendriks has become a megastar. She already surprised last year with De Oranjezomer, but she is currently doing fantastic with De Oranjewinter. Her season started on New Year’s Day with 905 thousand viewers – while the summer version started with 713 thousand – and last night she scored even better.
Convenience and flair
Tina Nijkamp is complete flabbergasted. The ratings authority reports on her analysis channel: “It’s only January 3, but Hélène Hendriks has had the first ratings hit of the year. With a natural ease and flair she enchants the Netherlands again and simply achieves even HIGHER numbers than she did with De Oranjezomer.”
Well, that’s not wrong. “On day two she already set a viewing figure record for De Oranjewinter: 962 thousand viewers and no less than 20.2 percent market share in the commercial target group 25 to 54 years old. And that is higher than the highest Oranjezomer. Wow!”
Better than Jinek
In the commercial target group, Hélène scores ‘really exactly the same’ as Today Inside, says Tina. “Relief and cake for the team of De Oranjewinter and also for SBS 6, because Hélène also appears to be able to replace the men of VI well in the winter.”
Bye bye, Eva Jinek? Yes, says Tina. “For example, not Eva Jinek but Hélène Hendriks is the new talk show queen of the Netherlands. It will be quite a challenge for Eva to achieve these kinds of viewing figures this year.”
