The police, together with the Veterans Search Team in Heemskerk, are currently searching en masse for a man who has been missing since yesterday. A spokesperson emphasizes not to approach the man himself. The police are taking the matter seriously.
Last night, a call via Burgernet urged residents of Bellinistraat in Heemskerk to be on the lookout for a man of 1.88 meters tall, of a slender build and dark short hair with a beard. The man is said to be wearing an orange sweater with sweatpants.
In addition to the citizen network action, the police searched last night and this morning with a police helicopter and dog handlers. On Wednesday morning, the Veterans Search Team, a group of former soldiers who often support the police in search operations, was also added. This group of volunteers searches through the area with a lot of manpower.
