The success story of Tomas Soucek and West Ham United continues. The 28-year-old signed a new contract with the “Hammers” until 2027. Previously, the captain of the Czech national team was one of the three most valuable players with an expiring contract worldwide with a market value of 35 million euros.
Soucek moved from Slavia Prague to London at the beginning of 2020, initially on loan and in the following summer for 16.2 million euros in a record sale for the Czech Fortuna League. At West Ham he immediately established himself in the midfield center and has played 182 games (30 goals) to date. Last year he celebrated his greatest triumph with the Conference League title.

“Tomas did a great job saving us from relegation when he arrived here in 2020 and since then he has been a huge part of our progress and the success we have achieved,” said coach David Moyes. “He is an exemplary professional who gives his all for his team every time he steps on the pitch and is a popular character, loved by the players, staff and everyone at the club.”
