Fähndrich leads Switzerland
Nadine Fähndrich got off to a good start in the Tour de Ski 2023 in her flagship sprint discipline and earned a lot of bonus seconds in fourth place. She starts the race today with number 60. In addition to her, Nadja Kälin (3), Anja Weber (6), Giuliana Werro (47), Desiree Steiner (53), Lea Fischer (64) and Alina Meier (67) are also starting for Switzerland today.

Stadlober in good shape in time
Teresa Stadlober is once again a lone fighter in the Austrian team. The 30-year-old has been getting better and better lately and narrowly missed a podium finish in fourth place at the skiathlon in Trondheim. This year’s tour program with many demanding distance races suits Stadlober, who did not make it into the top 30 in the sprint. “I feel fit and am really looking forward to the tour. I really like and like this event and I can always motivate myself to do it,” said the Salzburg native.

Hennig not yet at 100%
Germany’s second top runner Katharina Hennig was unable to qualify for the top 30 in the spring. The Oberwiesenthaler traveled to Toblach after a corona infection with a lack of training and has not yet returned to top level. “We shouldn’t expect too much from her,” warned national coach Peter Schlickenrieder. Carl remains in good shape
