The many German fans in the hall cheer because Pietreczko starts with a 180. Pikachu attacks Humphries’ throwing leg and faces 80 remaining while the Brit waits at 49. Pietreczko hits the T20 but misses two darts on doubles. But Humphries also misses out and Pietreczko gets three more chances. He hits the D10 with the first dart and Pietreczko takes the lead 2-1!

Humphries opens the match with a 60 and Pietreczko answers with a 140. The Englishman again fails to hit a triple, but Pietreczko also only throws a 57. Ricardo “Pikachu” Pietreczko is the last German player who still has a chance of reaching the round of 16 after the elimination of Martin Schindler and Gabriel Clemens yesterday Wednesday and Florian Hempel this afternoon. At the start, the 29-year-old easily beat the Japanese Mikuru Suzuki 3-0 and only gave up one leg. In the second round, Pikachu had a much more difficult time against Callan Rydz. In the end he narrowly prevailed against the Englishman 3-2 and scratched the 100 average.

Humphries struggles to win
The Englishman won his first match of the World Cup against his compatriot Lee Evans 3-0. But it wasn’t as clear as the result might sound at first.
