16-year-old Yoran Krol from Sleeuwijk has been missing since Saturday evening. On Sunday, the police already searched in and around the Nieuwe Merwede river with boats and a police helicopter.
According to a police spokesperson, she had received indications that he might be there. The search will also take place on and around the water in the same area on Christmas Day.
The police have no idea what happened to the boy or where he is. “Everything is possible, we don’t want to speculate, so we can’t say much about it.”
Striking bomber jacket
Yoran is 1.70 meters tall and has blond hair. He was last seen around half past one at night at the De Pomp youth center on Sportlaan in Almkerk. He can be recognized by his striking dark blue bomber jacket. That coat has cream-colored sleeves. He was also wearing jeans at the time.
