Princess Anne reveals in her recent interview on the BBC that her late mother Elizabeth did not want to die in Balmoral Castle in Scotland and worried about it before her death.

The reason for the queen’s fear was that the queen knew how difficult the arrangements would be after this.

– We tried to convince him that things could be arranged if that were to happen, Anne said in the interview.

Elizabeth died as she did at Balmoral Castle in September 2022. The royal family rushed to Scotland when news of the queen’s collapsed condition emerged. Princess Anne was by her mother’s side when she died, as she was already in Scotland.

After the Queen’s death, preparations began to transport the body to the funeral in London, England.

The Queen was laid to rest on 19 September 2022. She was blessed at Westminster Abbey in London. The funeral was attended by more than 2,000 people from around the world.

From the church, the coffin was carried in a procession to the Wellington Arch in Hyde Park. In a procession that lasted about an hour, the coffin was followed on foot again by the queen’s children and adult male grandchildren.

At Wellington Arch, the coffin was lifted into the hearse which carried the Queen to Windsor. People could follow the coffin’s passage through the streets and on television.

The Queen and her husband Prince Philip were laid to rest in St. George’s Chapel.
