Experts have prepared 70 recommendations to better protect the Westhoek against flooding. The Flemish government will consider the report tomorrow. Specialists are considering a new flood defense wall in Roesbrugge and a new permanent dike in Stavele are prominently included in the list. The Westhoek municipalities are happy with the recommendations, but they hope that the necessary money will be released for this.
