The Bayern Munich footballers have taken back the lead in the Bundesliga from VfL Wolfsburg.

Two days after the cup winners’ 4-1 win at 1. FC Cologne, the defending champions defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 (1-0) and took the lead again with 23 points – one point ahead of their big rivals.

Magdalena Eriksson took the early lead in the sixth minute with a header from a corner from Klara Bühl. After the break, Giulia Gwinn (52nd) and Jovana Damnjanovic (58th) made the decision.

Leverkusen is in seventh place with 13 points after their first defeat since 3-0 in Wolfsburg on September 17th.
