Urban explorer Bob Thissen has visited a ‘secret’ Chinese military bunker. The bunker dates from the troubled period between China and the Soviet Union. The bunker was built deep in the Chinese mountains to restore locomotives from trains that could withstand explosions. It was therefore also guarded by soldiers. More than 1,500 repairs were carried out, but the bunker has been abandoned since 2008.
