Kiss are making themselves immortal – they will travel the world as avatars in the future.
At Kiss’ final show on December 2nd at Madison Square Garden in New York, there was a surprise for the fans: for the encore, the musicians left the stage and left their avatars to end the show. With this, Kiss announced that the band would continue even after the artists had finished live. Spectacular hologram concerts are therefore being planned.
How does the Kiss hologram show work?
According to the band’s website: “The Kiss avatars were created by visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) using their advanced performance capture technology, which captures every nuance of the Kiss’s facial and body appearance. The band members have been captured in great detail.” This video shows how it works – in fact, all the band members learned their avatars themselves:

Where will the Kiss avatars perform?
In a roundtable talk that can be seen on the Kiss website, it is said that Kiss can use avatar technology to travel to places they have never been before. It is therefore conceivable that Kiss’ shows can take place worldwide – unlike ABBA avatars, which have so far only been seen in the ABBA Arena in London.
When do the Kiss shows with avatars take place?
No specific dates have been announced yet. Visitors to the Kiss website can already save a token that can be used to secure future exclusive benefits. This could also include pre-access to the ticket sale.
