Assistants Correia and Dingsdag longer at Telstar, future Jonker still unclear

Telstar legend Anthony Correia has extended his contract as assistant coach at Telstar for another two years. He will continue to combine his work in Velsen-Zuid with being a trainer at second divisionist Katwijk. “This choice was pretty clear to me and I had the intention to stay for a long time,” said Correia. Assistant Michael Dingsdag will also remain associated with the club for longer.

The fact that Correia was accepted into the Professional Football Coach course has ensured that he remains with Telstar. “Otherwise I might have taken a different step. The collaboration with the club is great and the combination with Katwijk is very nice. Those are things I like to do.”

In addition to Correia, Steve Olfers, Rory Roubos (also head of youth academy) and Michael Dingsdag (who moves on to O-21) remain active in the technical staff at Telstar. “That is good for continuity within the club.”

The technical staff for next season has been finalized, but it is still uncertain whether Andries Jonker will be in front of the team. “The club and I have not yet spoken to each other,” the trainer said when asked.
