Roord, a Manchester City player, says she is not bothered by the extra pressure that comes with it and thinks that this also applies to her fellow players. The ‘holy grass’ in London did not make an indelible impression during training on Thursday. “But maybe that will happen when it is full,” says Roord about Friday’s Nations League match with England.

The 96-time international already played in front of more than 90,000 spectators last year, with her previous club VfL Wolfsburg against FC Barcelona at Camp Nou. Roord lost, but scored. “That is the match that I remember the most so far. Friday will also be a special match, but we have now played many major matches like this. It will never be normal, but you will get used to it.”
