According to Janni Huss, the treatment in rally circles has been mostly good. You can even make rude comments.
A media personality making a career as a rally kart Janni Hussi says that he received outrageous feedback in sports circles.
– The most blatant example is when we first had a funny joke with the driver and then they asked me what color panties you have. Unfortunately, this still exists, as in many other sports. It must be actively eradicated, says Hussi in AKK’s press release.
However, in Huss’ opinion, we are going in the right direction. The world was different ten years ago, when the host from Kouvola was a race girl in the Jyväskylä World Rally Championship.
– The mood could have been really rough then. Being there as a young woman defending herself wasn’t always a treat.
– The more we talk, the more will be revealed and hopefully we will get rid of these someday.
No prejudices

Hussi will work next season Lauri Joonan as a karter in the rally WRC2 series. It is the second highest level of the rally, right after the World Cup rally. The duo already competed in two EC rallies and one World Cup rally together this summer.
Hussi ended up becoming a kart after initially talking about the sport through Radio Suomipop’s Aamulypsy program. Sami Pajari challenged the host to join him. Hussi soon completed the AKK’s karter qualification and rally qualification.
Pajari and Hussi competed together for the first time in the Lahti Historic Rally in August 2022. Since then, Hussi has also Heikki Kovalainen as a pair in the SM series.
In the press release of the AKK, the media person praises that he has not received special treatment in sports circles.
– I have been treated very well. Of course, when I do public work and come from completely different circles, it can arouse prejudices. And I’m sure you’ve woken up why you’re coming here. But I feel that everyone has received me very well.
