1. FC Heidenheim 1846 ended the past season with a slight financial loss of around one million euros, but is very satisfied with its overall development. Sales in 2022 amounted to around 39 million euros, as the newcomer announced at its general meeting on Tuesday. The number of members has now increased from around 3,000 to 9,000, and the same number of season tickets were sold for the first Bundesliga season in the club’s history.
After twelve match days, the Heidenheimers are in 13th place in the table with eleven points and are therefore above the relegation zone. Next Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky) coach Frank Schmidt’s team will be guests at RB Leipzig.
