The Austrian Leder & Schuh AG, which owns the shoe retail chains Humanic and Shoe4you, has taken over the traditional Austrian brand Delka. The parties have agreed not to disclose the volume of the transaction.
Delka was founded in 1907 and most recently had 18 branches in Austria and was part of the Ara Group. This separated from Delka and Salamander Austria in June of this year.
It has not yet been decided how Delka will be continued; it is currently still in the conception phase, according to media reports from Austria. The aim is to position the Delka brand in the area of comfortable shoes.
Leder & Schuh AG sells shoes, bags and accessories with the Humanic sales lines in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Shoe4you in Austria.
Leder & Schuh AG generated sales of 351 million euros in 2022 (2021: 280 million euros).
