The Catalan Amateur Selecció continues to prepare its participation in the National Phase of the UEFA Regions Cup, which will be held in Valencia from December 8 to 10, 2023. After training on November 7, The players are scheduled again on the 21st.
The team led by Robert Vila has called up 24 players, some of whom repeat from the first call and others are making their debut. After four years of inaction due to the pandemic, CatUEFA returns and the new coach must choose carefully who will represent the four bars.
Those chosen for next Tuesday’s session, which will again be at the Municipal Olimpia de Sabadell, are: the goalkeepers Mujika (Prat) and Verdejo (Reus Reddis); the defenders Pol Fernández (Tona), Peñalba (Prat), Roca (Badalona), Trilla (FE Grama), Nico Magno (Mollerussa), Ricki Calamardo (San Cristóbal), Marc Muñoz (Montañesa) and Samper (Rapitenca); the midfielders Eric Ruiz (Montañesa) Roger Garcia (FE Grama), Izan (L’Escala), Nil Salarich (Tona), Escarrabill (Tona) and Granero (Vilassar); the extremes Xavi Jaime (Reus Reddis), Bobi (Castelldefels), Joaco (Montañesa), Dídac (Tona); and forwards Ashot (Prat), Cantí (San Cristóbal), Roquet (Olot) and Walid (Badalona).
Catalunya will be measured in Group A, together with the Valencian Community, La Rioja and Navarra. The intention is to dethrone Galicia and thus be able to compete with other regions of Europe in pursuit of the continental title.
