The German juniors advanced early to the round of 16 of the U17 World Cup in Indonesia with a 3-1 (1-0) win against New Zealand. The highlights of the game can be seen for free on FIFA+. Paris Brunner (45th + 7th minute) took the lead for coach Christian Wück’s team shortly before half-time; previously, Schalke talent Assan Ouédraogo (42nd), who arrived with a problem, had to leave the field injured. In the second half, Max Moerstedt (61st) and Bilal Yalcinkaya (81st), who was nominated for Farid Alfa-Ruprecht, made everything clear. Adam Watson (90+1) only managed a consolation goal from a penalty in stoppage time (See all goals on FIFA+ | Advertisement).
After the second win in the second group game, Germany leads Group F with six points ahead of Venezuela (four points), which previously fought against Mexico (one point) to win 2-2 (1-0) while they were outnumbered.
