Yoga Festival Milan: three days of practices and freeclasses kick off

Pratics, meditation, events, meetings. And a lot of heart. Because in the heart there is the center of everything,

From 10 to 12 November, at Superstudio MAXI, The most famous yoga event in Italy, the Yoga Festival Milan, returns.

The numbers are impressive: over the three days, 73 yoga classes, Italian and international masters, workshops and dozens of free classes alternate.

The headlines of the Yoga Festival Milan

“At the heart of yoga”: this is the common thread that will run through the entire Festival to talk about and make known the true principles that guide this age-old practice and the consequent, precious benefits it offers.

As always, there will be Italian and international teachers and masters interpreting the theme.

Among the new features is “Yoga Teen”, two free classes conducted by Esteban Dell’Orto, a very young teacher who follows in the footsteps of Sabrina Grifeo, one of the founders of YogaFestival.

The masters of the festival

Some for the first time, others as a great return: practicing with them is always a precious opportunity.

Among the first: Driss Benzouine from Morocco, teacher trainer for 20 years and body mediation psychotherapist, he proposes a singular approach in which he uses the tools of yoga and Sufism (sound, breathing, movement, dynamic and silent meditation) for an experimental approach to humanistic psychology and transpersonal;

Aoife Lydon from Dublintrainer at the Irish Yoga Association, specializing in Yoga Therapy and with a great focus on the benefits of yoga for the world of motherhood;

Shastri Balmukund from India, renowned Yoga Guru and doctor of naturopathy, currently practicing at the SM Yoga Research Institute in Vrindavan, where Yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurveda and spirituality are studied and practiced;

Shanti Brancolini, creator of Yoga on Measure (a method that takes into account the physical and energetic characteristics of the practitioner) and dealing with her first book which will propose a Yoga practice focused on a rebalancing action for Autumn; Emma Leech from England, one of the best known teachers of the practice of the 5 Rhythms;

Silvio Bernelli, writer and teacher, who will present his latest book “In Yoga” with corresponding practice.

Among the exceptional returns: Philippe Djoharikian from the Himalayan mountains;

Selene Calloni Williams with a Japanese Yoga class;

Even this year Antonio Nuzzo will offer an unmissable moment of knowledge of Yoga with three workshops, one per day, linked by the common thread “At the heart of Yoga”.

Special events

The 5 Rhythms Friday 10th from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, with Emma Leech, among the best known teachers of this practice of meditation in movement which uses rhythmic music inspired by tribal sounds and music, performed here by the musician Antonio Testa.

The Enlightened Mind – Meditation night: Friday 10th from 8.00pm to 10.30pm, with Daniel Lumera, writer and deep researcher who will lead a 4-step meditation.

Yoga and Cello Sunday 12th from 6.00pm to 7.30pm: a special yoga class with Deborah Gheller and the cellist Antonio Cortesi.

Work, practice yoga for office with Francesca Senette: journalist, TV presenter and now Yoga teacher, used to working with companies, she created a fascinating project, “Yoga at work”, to bring elements of Yoga to the well-being of employees.

Yoga&Breakfast Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th at 7.30am with Elena De Martina: for the real early risers, an Ashtanga Yoga class and a free breakfast
Yoga and Art Saturday 11th at 3.30pm with Marta Massara and the artist Beatrice Novara: Certified Vinyasa yoga teacher, Marta founded the Yog-Art project where the practice is inspired by the thoughts/work of an artist.

Always present Children’s Space, this year managed by Cristiana Vergari of Smart Yoga with a point dedicated to public school teachers who wish to include yoga techniques thanks to the recent agreement with the MIUR.
