Infections in professional football are increasing; KNVB is alert to prevent English situations
ZEIST – Where the first half of the Eredivisie and Kitchen Champion Division was finished without a single cancellation due to a major corona outbreak, the virus will be prominent in Dutch professional football in the first week of 2022. Feyenoord and PSV had to cancel their training camp in Spain due to positive cases, Ajax was already in Portugal but has now decided to return home after a few corona cases in the selection, while clubs such as PEC Zwolle and SC Heerenveen have also been startled by positive tests.
