That’s what he declared Sam Haskell before the Miss America pageant came crashing down. Haskell served as president of the organization and had to leave as a result of the scandal.
Haskell in particular was in the eye of the storm when his emails were leaked to the media in 2017. In a new documentary series Secrets of Miss America however, instead of Haskell, the voices are former beauty queens, of whom there are about twenty in total.
The opening episode focuses on the 2013 model year by Mallory Hagan to the case. He describes systematic bullying, mistreatment and degrading barking.
Hagan’s ex-partner, and under Sam Haskell, by Brent Adams according to Haskell, he called Hagan a slut, a terrible person and a scumbag with no style and no money. Haskell thought Adams was too good for Hagan. A better option would have been Hagan’s daughter.

The words eventually reached Hagan’s ears as well.
– Allegedly, Sam called me a whore and white trash. It was really hard to hear, Hagan says in the documentary.
Haskell is also said to have joked about how many men Hagan had sex with. In the end, Haskell would have messed up the bills, when Hagan would have had men in every state.
Mallory Hagan says in the documentary that she doesn’t understand why Haskell put her under the eye patch. Eventually, she and Brent Adams divorced, just as Haskell had hoped, and Hagan moved out of Los Angeles. He settled in New York, imagining he could start with a clean slate, far away from Haskell. The bullying still continued.
After a long period of pressure, Hagan reached a dead end. He no longer wanted to live.
– In the darkest moment, I drank a lot of alcohol and climbed onto the roof of my apartment building. Without my parents, I would have definitely ended up with a different solution, Hagan starts to cry in the documentary.

According to Sam Haskell’s press release, the things reported publicly are largely dishonest, misleading and despicable. He has also pointed out that the material is based on private emails that were stolen by former employees.
