Stiftung Warentest regularly tests and evaluates various products. Now it was the turn of the smartphones. After there were no smartphones rated “very good” for a long time, this has changed in the current test. A device received the top rating for the first time.
Stiftung Warentest has tested and rated countless smartphones. To be more precise, you can find 408 smartphones in their comparison article. In the latest version, four new products were added, all of which play a major role and are at the top – one is even the test winner and received the grade “very good”.
These are the winning smartphones at Stiftung Warentest
The smartphone test from Stiftung Warentest is more than clear. Only iPhones are in the first places. At the top sits the flagship from Apple with a grade of 1.5 (“very good”): the iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB). The testers particularly praised the display and the cameras. They also highlight the action button and the USB-C socket. The only drawback is the cell phone reception, which was better on the older iPhone models.
In second place in the constantly updated Comparison article The iPhone 14 Pro (128 GB) received a grade of 1.6 from Stiftung Warentest and just missed the top seal of “very good”. Now it has to be satisfied with “good”. The testers were also impressed by the display, the handling and the stability. However, there were negative points with the battery. In the previous test (07/2023), the Apple cell phone was in first place, but now had to give up to the successor flagship.
