Lautaro: “Real? Great team, but my head and my heart are for Inter”

Present at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, where he ranked twentieth, the Argentine spoke about Messi, but also about his future (“I want to take my club as high as possible, win more trophies”) and the Nerazzurri fans: “Proud of you”. Next to him is his wife Agustina who wrote on social media: “Always with you. I admire you and love you”

Lautaro Martinez swears loyalty to Inter. During the interviews given in Paris, before the Ballon d’Or award ceremony (he ranked twentieth), Toro spoke about his future when asked about a hypothetical transfer to Real Madrid: “Obviously we are talking about a very great team – said the Nerazzurri number 10 -, but my head and my heart are always turned towards Inter. In Milan with my family I feel good and I just want to take Inter as high as possible , continue to win trophies.” A clear closure that came at the same time as the negotiation for the renewal of his contract beyond 2026. It seems like a message for the management, a request to lock him down quickly. Through the club’s Twitter profile he then sent a message to the fans: “I wanted to send you a big hug. I’m proud of you and my teammates. I carry you in my heart and… Forza Inter”.

WELL DONE LEO

Speaking to Tnt and Espn, Martinez analyzed his moment: “Between the Ballon d’Or and the World Cup, I’m living a dream and being here is very nice for me. Last season I played in the two most important finals in football (World Cup and Champions League. Ed.) and tonight is a reward for the work and sacrifice I have made. The penalty against the Netherlands? I often think about it and it was a great satisfaction to score it.” Together with him in the French capital are his wife Agustina (“Always with you. I admire you and I love you” she wrote on social media), the Inter team manager Matteo Tagliacarne and the Nerazzurri manager of relations with the media, Luigi Crippa. He closed on his compatriot Messi: “He had to share this era with Cristiano Ronaldo, otherwise he would have won 15 Ballon d’Ors”.
