Christmas will be the only day of rest for English fans. The Premier League has announced the calendar of matches for December and January, making official the choice to take the field on Christmas Eve. In fact, on 24 December, Wolverhampton and Chelsea will compete at the Molineux Stadium: it is the first time since 1995 that the calendar also includes the day before.

The one between Wolves and Blues will be the only match to be played on December 24th and will close the 18th day of the championship. Boxing Day matches will be present as usual on 26 December): there are five matches scheduled, including Newcastle-Nottingham Forest, Burnley-Liverpool and Manchester United-Aston Villa. City, however, will take the field on the 27th against Everton. The Premier League will then also be on the field between 31 December and 1 January: Fulham-Arsenal and Tottenham-Bournemouth will close 2023, while Liverpool-Newcastle will open 2024.
