Half-time conclusion:
In the middle of a promising Dortmund attack, referee Artur Dias whistled to end the first half on time and the guests went into the locker room with a 1-0 lead. BVB was good in the game right from the start, stood up to the strong Magpies and had good opportunities early on through painting and filling the pitch. At times an open exchange of blows developed in which the home team also had their opportunities. After both sides had to change once due to injury (Wilson for Isak and Özcan for Can), Felix Nmecha scored the black and yellow’s first goal of the season in the premier class shortly before half-time, rewarding his team for a very courageous first 45 minutes.
