FC Barcelona on track in the Champions League – important Feyenoord victory

Goal premiere for talent López

FC Barcelona has taken the next step towards the knockout phase in the Champions League. The Catalans beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 (2-0) on Wednesday evening and thus secured their third win in the third group game.

Ferran Torres (28th minute) and Fermín López (36th) scored the goals for Barça, which hosts Real Madrid in the Clásico on Saturday. For the 20-year-old López, it was his first goal in the Champions League after his debut goal in LaLiga in September. Georgiy Sudakov (62nd) scored the next goal for the Ukrainians, who gave Barcelona their first goal in this premier class season.

Feyenoord Rotterdam also achieved an important success in the race for the round of 16. The Dutch champions defeated Lazio Rome 3:1 (2:0). Santiago Giménez (31st/74th) and Ramiz Zerrouki (45th + 2) scored for the hosts. Pedro (83’/foul penalty) scored the goal for Lazio. In the Group E table, Feyenoord moved past the Italians with the win.
