Kanye West will NOT run for president in 2024

All political campaigns are currently scheduled to cease.

Kanye West doesn’t want to run for president in 2024. His lawyer officially announced this information. This means the end of his political ambitions, which he first announced in 2019. He wanted to run in 2020, but then withdrew his candidacy for the presidential election in 2020 – actually with the intention of running again in 2024.

West no longer wants to be president of the USA

His personal lawyer, Bruce Marks, confirmed in a statement to Rolling Stone: “He will not be a candidate in 2024.” His lawyer is reportedly currently working on ending the artist’s political campaign.

This decision is also reflected in a filing with the Federal Election Commission in October 2023 by “Kanye 2020” (West’s political committee). The filing shows that no money was earmarked for primary campaign spending in all 50 states from January to September 2023.

There were no donations recorded during the most recent reporting period and the committee has less than $25,000.

West made anti-Semitic comments

West’s plans to run for president were overshadowed by controversy last year: the 46-year-old was heavily criticized for anti-Semitic comments.

This also led to Adidas parting ways with him in 2022. The sporting goods manufacturer described his comments as “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.” West denied at the time that the comments were racist.
