Former top American football player Rashad Jennings has been named “the worst in history” on social media Wheel of fortune as a player”, New York Post write.
Jennings participated in the Yankee version of the popular TV show Wheel of Fortunewhere he competed against other public figures.
In the game, the contestants had to guess the sentence that appeared on the board, when letters came out one by one.
Jennings got to try his luck when there was only one letter missing from the board. The sentence was heard at that point “Driving to Reno with _uentin Tarantino“.
The ex-NFL player guessed that the missing letter was p. The correct answer was naturally q, as the rhyming phrase referred to film director Quentin Tarantino.
The host of the program Pat Sajak could not believe his ears. There was also laughter from the audience.
In social media, the sneer started right from the glove.
– Even if you don’t know who Quentin Tarantino is, why the hell would you answer anything other than q? Do you even know the rules of the game? One of the commenters gloated according to the New York Post.
Jennings seemed to take the embarrassing moment with humor himself, as he promoted his co-star Wheel of Fortune episode on Instagram with a laughing emoji.
