Gordon is shocked by the violence of war in Ukraine, where people are startled by bombs from the Russians. “I was in Kiev two years ago,” says the SBS 6 star.

It is war in Ukraine and that is also very frightening for the well-known Dutch. One of them is Gordon, who says from Dubai that he was still in the capital Kiev a few years ago. “What heartbreaking images from the Ukraine,” said the presenter in his stories on Instagram.

Gordon angry with Putin

Gordon thinks Kiev is a great city. “Two years ago I was in Kiev, such a beautiful city and great population who now have to hide in fear or flee from the madness in a madman’s head!”

Here he is referring to Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia. “What a heartless monster you have to be to do this to innocent people. His daughter lives in the Netherlands with a Dutchman! It will be your father!”

Jan Slagter angry

There are still no celebrities who have expressed their understanding for the Russian war violence. There are politicians who, according to critics, are very close to Russia, including Geert Wilders and Thierry Baudet. Geert believes that we should not take any measures against Russia, because our energy prices will then rise.

Jan Slagter, the boss of broadcaster MAX, is annoyed by this. He tweeted: “Dear Geert, is that your primary concern, energy prices? Where is your compassion for the people of Ukraine? This is a war that is indirectly also ours. Fortunately, the allies who liberated us in 1945 did not think as narrow-minded as you do now.”

Populist bullshit

Jan believes that we should show solidarity with Ukraine. “Yes, energy prices will rise, and the government will certainly have to compensate the people who can no longer pay the bill. But now show your compassion for the people of Ukraine. Your populist nonsense is of no use to anyone now.”

Last night, almost all TV programs were about the war in Ukraine. Likewise in VI Today. “That threatening language of Putin, of: ‘If you don’t listen, you’re going to experience something you’ve never experienced before.’ That’s not how you do business as the leader of the country, do you?” says René van der Gijp.

nuclear war

Colleague Johan Derksen is quite shocked by Putin’s bloodthirsty statements. “Then I almost think of an atomic bomb.”

Wierd Duk: “I think so too. He just threatens with that, with that button.”

René takes into account a Third World War. “I am not at my wits’ end, but at a certain point you will get that what Wierd says, I think he is so crazy at the moment that he may want to continue.”
