Kyrk Macmillan, who was previously CEO of the Danish brand Wood Wood, has a new job.
Macmillan is moving to Alexander Manufacturing, the Scottish luxury clothing maker said on Monday. There he will be responsible as Commercial Director for the coat specialist and the online retailer Oliami, both of which belong to the Hancock 1843 company.
“Kyrk’s appointment is significant for Alexander Manufacturing and our fashion boutique Oliami,” said Nadia Alexander, owner of Hancock 1843. “His knowledge and leadership skills will be instrumental in taking the company to new horizons while continuing our commitment to to deepen Scottish craftsmanship and sustainability.”
Macmillan had been working at Wood Wood in Copenhagen since December 2019, first as Commercial Director and then as CEO. Previously, he worked as Head of Commercial at bag supplier Day Et, as Commercial Manager at the Danish brand Norse Projects and as International Sales Manager at the Danish sales and marketing agency Vald. It is currently not known who will succeed him.
“I am very pleased about my move to Alexander Manufacturing. Having worked abroad over the last few years, I have seen from outside how much Scottish manufacturing and craftsmanship is valued,” said Macmillan.
