Lisa Harms missed the prizes last night at the Suns Europe festival. This is a kind of song contest for European minority languages that is held in Udine, Italy.
The singer from Emmer-Compascuum represented the Low Saxon language with her song Until the sun pours out. With this she won the Drèents Liedtiesfestival in May.
“Didn’t win, but enjoyed it”, as can be read on the Facebook page of the Drèents Liedtiesfestival. “Lisa and the band did a fantastic job. It was moving and very strong, even though the audience may not have understood the lyrics.”
Harms also played a piece of the Friulian national anthem. That is an autonomous region of Italy, where Udine is also located. “Lisa has won many hearts.”
