Dedonder announces the shipment of “some Belgian F-16 combat aircraft” to Ukraine, from 2025, “depending on the expansion of our new F-35 capacity”. The news comes at a time when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting our country.
Foreign Minister Lahbib says on X, formerly Twitter, that continuing to support Ukraine is the best way to protect Belgian and European citizens. “The supply of F-16s will contribute to this,” Lahbib said.
