Markus Gisdol is the new coach of Turkish first division soccer team Samsunspor.
As the newcomer announced on Tuesday, the 54-year-old signed a contract with the bottom of the SüperLig table until the end of the season. Gisdol succeeds Hüseyin Eroglu, who was dismissed in September.
This is the second stop abroad for the former Bundesliga coach. Gisdol most recently coached Lokomotiv Moscow, but he resigned in March 2022 after Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
