The singer covered the track in combination with Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” and an original song.
On Sunday (October 8th) Suki Waterhouse performed at the Austin City Limits Festival in Texas. At the end of her performance, the British singer and actress covered Taylor Swift’s song “Lover”, as well as the track “Fade Into You” by Mazzy Star as a medley. Waterhouse’s own song “Brutally” was also included.
The musicians Waterhouse and Swift have been good friends for several years. “Suki always seemed like she came out of a time machine. “Her music is so raw and hopelessly romantic because that’s exactly how she moves through the world,” Swift told Sense Magazine in a recent interview. The pop star also praised the Brit’s relaxed nature: “When we hang out together, I often wonder how someone can be spontaneous and free at the same time – and also supernaturally wise. She is the wildest person I know who I would trust with any secret. When you get upset about something trivial, she just looks at you with a cigarette in her hand and says, ‘Babe, you know none of this really matters.’ And she’s right.”
In 2022, Suki Waterhouse released her debut album I CAN’T LET GO. This year the artist was seen in the Amazon Prime series “Daisy Jones & The Six”, in which she also plays a musician and is part of a band.
