Noa Lang was injured in the match against Sparta on Sunday. He was substituted in the first half because the attacker had problems with his hamstring. Peter Bosz now hopes that he does not have to report to the Dutch national team on Monday so that Lang can focus on his recovery.
After more than half an hour, Noa Lang’s match was already over. He was forced to be substituted against Sparta because he suffered from a hamstring injury. That wasn’t the first time this season.
“This is the third time he has had problems with his hamstring,” Peter Bosz said afterwards. “That is serious. He could no longer sprint and that is necessary. And of course there is a chance that the injury will get worse if you leave it alone.”
“I once won 22 games in a row with RKC.”
Lang has been called up for the Dutch national team, which will play two international matches in the coming week. If it were up to the PSV coach, he would stay in Eindhoven. “I don’t think it would be wise if he goes to the Dutch team tomorrow. With the Dutch national team you also have to be able to sprint, but I am not a doctor. We will investigate it further.”
Lang’s injury was a blemish on PSV’s 4-0 win over Sparta. The Eindhoven club remains flawless in the Eredivisie. “I can only be satisfied with that,” the trainer beamed. “I once won 22 games in a row with RKC, so we still have a while to go.”
