The Italian knitwear specialist Brunello Cucinelli SpA is temporarily not appearing at the winter edition of the men’s fashion fair Pitti Uomo in Florence (11-13 January). The “current increase in corona infections” forced the company to make the “painful but necessary decision,” the fashion house said in a statement on Tuesday. In addition to the current pandemic development in Italy, the background is also a “sense of responsibility to continue on the path we have taken in recent months, which we all hope will lead us to a normal life and normal contacts as soon as possible,” it says in one Statement.
The company emphasized that the start of the sales campaign will proceed as planned: The menswear collection for the autumn / winter 2022/23 season will now be available from January 13th to 15th in the Casa Cucinelli concept store in Milan and in its showrooms in Shanghai and New York present buyers and press representatives. “Strict compliance with the anti-Covid regulations” is guaranteed, the fashion house explained. Medical staff is on site, and there are also test opportunities for visitors and employees.
