André Hazes Jr. was seriously done with Frank Dane in the summer because of a spicy joke about short visits to Van der Valk. “We almost had an argument then.”
In fact, André Hazes Jr. prefers to be constantly talked down to. He is angry at everything and everyone who does not move well enough with him. For example, he instituted a lifelong boycott against Wilfred Genee because he kept calling him ‘junior’ and he was angry with Humberto Tan after some critical questions about his miserable family.
Arguing with Frank
What about Frank Dane? He gives André an unbearable slime shower during every appearance on his radio show. “We’ve never had a fight, have we?” he asks him now in his afternoon show Radio 538.
André corrects him: “Almost.”
Frank admits: “Yes, what then? Well, almost, yes. “
André: “Almost. Okay, listen. Last time, so not yesterday but the time before, we almost went too far.”
‘Sh*t, why?!’
Frank: “What didn’t I do right? I went too far? I went on too long?”
André: “It was like: ‘What is it like in your own house? Nice huh? Then you don’t have to book Van der Valk anymore, do you?’ And I: ‘Yes, haha, that’s right.’ And afterwards I think: shit, why did I say that?”
Frank: “Yes, that is true, but I actually have no boundaries when you are there. I can ask anything, because Dré will get it right. We survived then.”
Van der Valk joke
Okay, what exactly is this about? André and Frank, media friends, had a chat on the radio in July in which they also talked about his new home.
The radio DJ then made a very strange comment, as if he knows something about André that the general public does not. “You no longer have to check in at Van der Valk for an hour.”
André then, as quickly as light: “No, that’s nice too, yes.”
Cheating on me
Frank had to laugh at that somewhat too honest answer: “Yes, but you have to have a place. However?”
Only then did André realize that it is not useful to discuss this on national radio: “Yes… I ehh… What do I need a place for again?”
André is now monogamous. At least, that’s what he says. However, the singer no longer sleeps with his on-again, off-again sweetheart Monique Westenberg. He also only sees her two days a week. “If I sleep there, I still don’t sleep in the same room with her. We do that very quietly for Dré.”
