RB Leipzig’s sports director Rouven Schröder has regretted the end of the collaboration with sports director Max Eberl.
“Friday was emotional and ultimately surprising for everyone, and therefore not as desired,” said Schröder on the sidelines of the Champions League game against English soccer champions Manchester City on “DAZN” and added: “We have We worked together very trustingly. We played the period very diligently and together with Felix Krüger (sports coordinator). You can see the result on the pitch.”
On that Friday, RB surprisingly parted ways with Eberl after less than a year, citing his lack of commitment to Leipzig. The former Gladbach manager has been linked with a possible move to FC Bayern.
“That was a decision made by the club. There must have been reasons for it,” added Schröder. During the international break there is now an opportunity to put our heads together. “To talk calmly about things like structure,” said Schröder.
