By Marcel Graus

In 253 days the German national team will open the home European Championships in Munich (June 14th to July 14th)!

The anticipation among the fans is increasing. Sales of the first 1.2 million tickets for the 51 games began on Tuesday.

BZ clarifies the most burning ticket questions!

How and when do I get EM cards?

Sales and raffles take place exclusively online via the Uefa homepage (euro2024.com/tickets).

The first application phase runs until October 26th (2 p.m.).

You have to register in advance in the ticket portal and can then apply for individual games. If there is greater demand, UEFA will draw a prize. Anyone who receives a card will be notified by November 14th at the latest.

Every fan can change their ticket application until October 26th (e.g. add games, change price categories, etc.)

A second phase starts on the day of the group draw (December 2nd). In June there is still a chance to get last-minute tickets. Tickets are only available in digital form. Buying a classic paper ticket is not possible.

How many are there in total?

2.7 million. In the first phase, 1.2 million tickets will go on sale. Afterwards, one million will be sold across the 24 qualified nations (e.g. via the official fan clubs).

There are 42,000 tickets for people with disabilities. Around 500,000 tickets will go to sponsors, partners, associations and VIPs.

How great is the demand from fans?

According to UEFA, 7.8 million cards from 169 countries were applied for in the first 24 hours. The most requested game is the opening game. Significantly more inquiries have already been received for this game than there are tickets available.

What is the maximum number of tickets I can get?

There are a maximum of four tickets per person per game.

What does a ticket cost?

The cheapest tickets (“Fans-First”/fan blocks behind the goals) are available in the group phase from 30 euros. Other tickets are available for 60, 150 and 200 euros. The prices in all ten stadiums are identical. As the tournament progresses, the tickets become more expensive with every knockout game. The cheapest tickets for the final (July 14th in the Olympic Stadium) cost 95 euros, the most expensive 1000 euros.

Do children need their own ticket?

Yes! Babies and small children are not exempt either. There are also no discounted tickets.

Can I apply for as many European Championship games as I want?

In principle yes. However, tickets are only issued for one game per day.

Are the tickets personalized?

Yes, to the customer. The names of the “guests” only have to be named later in an app and can vary from game to game.

Are there card packages?

Yes, four different ones! Venue Series (all games in one place/from 4,320 euros per person), Final Series (semi-finals and finals/from 7,800 euros per person), Follow my team (all three group games of a team/from 1,250 euros per person), Single Match (selected single game/from 1,250 euros per person). The “Follow my team” package cannot be booked for the DFB team. Tickets for the final are available for the “Single Match”.

Do I have to take the cards if I receive an acceptance?

No! If payment is not made within a deadline, they will go back on sale. First of all, to fans on the waiting list who came away empty-handed in the raffle.

Can I legally resell tickets?

Yes! From spring 2024 there will be a resale platform where tickets will be offered at face value.
