Coach Thomas Tuchel doesn’t want to use the possibly poor pitch conditions in Copenhagen as an excuse for FC Bayern.
They will “definitely not look for an excuse and don’t want one,” said Tuchel at a press conference in the Parken Stadium on Monday evening. FC Bayern will play its first Champions League away game of the season at FC Copenhagen on Tuesday evening (9:00 p.m./Prime Video).
Tuchel was not disturbed by the reports about the poor condition of the pitch.
“If it doesn’t meet our expectations, we can all digest it. It won’t change until tomorrow. We have to swallow it, digest it and accept it,” said Tuchel and emphasized: “If it’s necessary, we’ll of course change our style of play accordingly adjust.”
