TONastasia Kuzminadancer of dancing with the Starswas sexually harassed by an employee in a post office in Rome. She told it herself social, confessing that at first, too shocked by what had happened, she didn’t report it. But she did it the next day, after returning to the post office to meet the director.
Anastasia Kusmina: what happened to the post office
In her social video, the 30-year-old Ukrainian dancer explains that she is still deeply upset, so much so that “I’ve been trying to shoot this video for half an hour”. And she says that on Monday «I was at the post office sending a package at half past twelve. They call me at the counter, my teller was busy on his cell phone doing something”. While she was filling out the shipping paperwork, she recalls, “he asks me: “But do you know how to cut videos when you’re younger? How you do it?”. I tell him: “Of course, I know how to cut videos”. He asks me if I can help him, I tell him okay».
Are you scandalized?
At that point in the story Anastasia Kuzmina’s voice becomes trembling. «He asks me: “Are you scandalized?”. I said no, because I thought she was asking me “would you be shocked to help me cut the video”. I honestly just wanted to get out of there so I said, okay, let’s cut this video. He turns the phone over and there was his member».
I ran away
Visibly shaken, the dancer continues to tell, admitting that «on Monday itself, the same day, I didn’t do anything because I was feeling too sick and ran home». But then, “I returned on Tuesday and reported the incident to the manager».
Anastasia therefore says she is ashamed for «not having reacted and not having reported immediately. I’m ashamed of having run away. I often run away from these situations and this is the thing that bothers me the most.” And she remembers that «two-three months ago I was followed in broad daylight, like at 5 in the afternoon, from a guy who wouldn’t let go of me, and I didn’t report this either, I did nothing. I ran away.”
You can also meet wolves at the post office at midday
Then the conclusion of the denunciation video, with a dig at Andrea Giambuno and his statements on the rapes in Palermo and Caivano. «The wolves», underlines the dancer, «you don’t just meet them when you’re drunk and undressed at 2am. You can also meet wolves at the post office at half past twelve, you meet them on the street with still light. You are always afraid, this is what many don’t understand: that a woman is always afraid».
An internal investigation has been launched
After the dancer’s social complaint, Poste Italiane launched an internal investigation to ascertain what happened. In the meantime, the employee has been entrusted with another non-operational task.
