74-year-old Johan Derksen belongs to the 1 percent of the richest Dutch people. The football analyst has no difficulty in financing his expensive addiction to cigars. He performed live last night Today Inside revealed how much money he spent on it.

100 euros of gasoline

Taxes in our country are going up and Johan is also affected. “I solve poverty. Cigars and gasoline! I smoke all day and it costs 100 euros in petrol every evening,” he says.

Table guest Hélène Hendriks: “How expensive will it be? What do you pay for a package now? How much do you spend on cigars per month?”

Johan: “Well, that is so irresponsible that it is ostentatious. I’m not saying that. My wife did the math.”

40 euro cigars

Hélène lures him out of the tent: “Tell me.”

Johan: “No, terrible. Look, I think I smoke for 40 euros a day.”

In other words: 1,200 euros per month. Wilfred Genee shocked: “Huh?”

Hélène: “Ohhh!! Hahaha. And soon for 60 euros. So then you arrive at a thousand euros.”

Johan: “My wife also got a parcel.”

‘Smoke on!’

Johan should be doing well, says René van der Gijp. “Smell nice, man. Let go.”

Johan: “Yes, I do that too!”

Wilfred: “Should I start negotiating with De Mol again or do you say: ‘I can just manage this’? If I had known this!”

Johan: “You have made a terrible blunder by not demanding mileage reimbursement for me.”

Hélène: “You didn’t arrange that?”

Driver

No, says Wilfred. “He never brought that up. I arranged a driver for him.”

Johan: “I have to be honest: I will persevere, but if I had known that I would be here for so long because you cannot do this program without me, I would have continued to live in the west for a while.”

Wilfred: “Well, you get a lot in return, right, there?”

Johan: “Yes, certainly. Love.”

Johan’s hometown is Grolloo. He spends four hours in the car every day to go to the Hilversum Media Park. He covers about 350 kilometers.
