The colors of New York Fashion Week

The colors of New York Fashion Week for spring/summer 2024 trigger feelings of relief, at least that’s what the US color institute Pantone predicts.

According to the color experts, the color palette chosen for New York Fashion Week Spring 2024 embodies a feeling of nostalgia while reflecting the desire for positive change. In the world of fashion, where self-expression is often paramount, these colors evoke feelings of happiness and comfort and usher in a new era of creativity with confidence, says Pantone

“The colors for NYFW Spring 2024 are a harmonious blend of familiar hues with a modern twist, representing a new interpretation of the current times,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.

At New York Fashion Week, the colors become harmonious and familiar

The complete color palette of New York Fashion Week consists of a total of 15 colors, ten of which are considered the official colors of Fashion Week. This palette of vibrant colors encourages personal self-expression and a sense of freedom, while the significantly more neutral five other colors are referred to as the so-called “classics”. According to Pantone, these are tried-and-tested basic tones that are given a modern touch and create “new visions of tradition”.

Candy colors and pastel tones
