As has become customary every National Day of Catalonia, FC Barcelona makes a floral offering to the Rafael Casanova monument every September 11. This year, obviously, has not been an exception and a large delegation representing the Blaugrana club has carried out the traditional gesture.
The floral offering was led by the president Joan Laporta, along with the captain of the Barça women’s team Alexia Putellas and the recent signing of the men’s first team Oriol Romeu. The head of the Barcelona entity took a mass bath before starting the event, even taking photographs with some pubes. Laporta, however, has maintained silence when asked about Rubiales’ resignation as president of the RFEF.
Also present at the offering were the first vice president of the sports area, rafael yustethe institutional vice president and spokesperson for the board of directors, Elena Fortthe vice president of the economic area, eduard romeuthe deputy spokesperson of the board of directors, Miquel Campsthe manager responsible for the social area, Josep Ignasi Maciathe manager responsible for handball, Joan Solé and the president of Barça Atlètic, Jordi Casals.
Regarding the sporting aspect, in addition to those mentioned Alexia Putellas and oriol romeuthe Barça women’s coach also attended, Jonatan Giraldezthe basketball coach, Roger Grimauand the player Alex Abrines; from the handball coach Carlos Ortega and the player Dika Mem; of the futsal coach, Jesus Velascoand the player Sergio Lozano; of the roller hockey coach, Edu Castroand the player Sergi Panadero; as well as coaches and players from the training teams of FC Barcelona and the Fundació Barça Genuine.
