Inter, Hall of Fame: Special Prize, vote with token fans

Those who own the Nerazzurri fan tokens have until Sunday to choose who will climb the ark of glory: four options

Gianluca Pagliuca, Marco Materazzi and Wesley Sneijder have entered the Inter Hall of Fame this year and will soon be joined by a fourth name, a forward. As has been the tradition of recent years, however, the quartet is completed by a Special Prize awarded to prominent personalities of the Nerazzurri ecosystem, often and willingly with attention to social issues. This season, for the first time, the award will be given to those who collect the most votes in a poll reserved for Nerazzurri fan token holders.

Seats open

For those who got on the digital token wagon, there is time until Sunday to express their preferences and then the celebration will take place on the occasion of Inter-Salernitana on 4 March, at the same time as the awarding of the four former players who get on ” ‘ark of glory “. In the past editions, the Special Prize was won by the Moratti family, the former goalkeeper Astutillo Malgioglio and the former Nerazzurri president Ernesto Pellegrini. The last two distinguished themselves – beyond sporting merits – respectively for their commitment to the weak, defenseless and marginalized, and for the offer of hot lunches to people in difficulty. For the 2021 edition, Peppino Prisco, the Policlinico di Milano, Claudio Bertazzi and Enzo Bernasconi are in the running.

The profiles

For Peppino Prisco there is no need for introductions. In December the club celebrated the 100th anniversary of his birth and the twentieth anniversary of his death, but the name of “the greatest Inter fan ever” is still heard today in discussions among fans and can be read on forums and social networks. The Polyclinic of Milan is a central reality of the city of Milan, decisive in the fight against Covid-19 in one of the areas most affected by the coronavirus: from the care of the first patients to the vaccination hubs, up to the realization at the Fair of the largest intensive care in Italy. Europe for seriously ill patients. Claudio Bertazzi has been the president of the Inter Club of Desenzano del Garda for 40 springs and from the Eighties to today he has put together all kinds of initiatives. Finally, Enzo Bernasconi, member of the Inter Club Tri Basei, is the protagonist of the unique feat of a ride of 1,277 km between San Siro and Terranova di Sibari, where Diego Milito has his Calabrian origins. All this for a fundraiser aimed at supporting Inter Campus Bolivia and the Casari Committee, in favor of the children of Cochabamba.
