Inter Milan did not lose a point or concede a goal in the second league game of the new Serie A season at promoted Cagliari Calcio.
Last season’s Champions League finalists had few problems with the Sardinian hosts and won comfortably 2-0 (2-0). Denzel Dumfries (21st) and Lautaro Martinez (30th) scored for Inter on Monday night.
With Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer in goal, Inter are the only Serie A team to not concede a goal. In Cagliari, however, it wasn’t until the 90th minute that the Swiss really had to excel.
The Milanese had also won the season opener against AC Monza 2-0. After the end of the second day of play, Inter are third in the table.
