FC Bayern only have a few days left to sign the six desired by coach Thomas Tuchel. As has now been revealed, the German record champions should have an “exclusive right” with a candidate.
The transfer window in most of the top European leagues closes on Friday night. FC Bayern does not have much time left to find a so-called “Holding Six”.
Most recently, Wilfred Ndidi from Premier League relegated Leicester City was considered a promising candidate in Munich, but a permanent move by the Nigerian is now unlikely.
According to “kicker”, the German industry leader “rather doesn’t want to invest any more money” in permanent commitments and is therefore aiming for a loan. However, since Ndidi’s current working paper expires in around ten months, the 26-year-old would have to extend his contract with the Foxes beforehand.
So far, those responsible for Bayern have not made an offer anyway, and the entire six-man issue is said to be “controversially discussed internally”.

If the worst comes to the worst, Leicester is said to have granted Bayern Munich an “exclusive right” to a special regulation that – as the name suggests – should not apply to any other interested party.
In order to fulfill his heart’s desire for the sweeper, but not to lose him on a free transfer next summer, “work is to be done behind the scenes to prepare for a one-year contract extension”, it is said.
Background: FCB coach Tuchel and Ndidi are said to “appreciate each other enormously”, the German is said to have attracted the national player when he was a coach at Paris Saint-Germain. Since then, the contact has “never been completely broken off”.
The midfielder “absolutely wants to play under Tuchel” in 2023/2024, which is why competitors, both from Leicester and from the player himself, are said to have been clearly informed that an extension including a loan would only be reserved for FC Bayern.
Ndidi has been playing for the Foxes since 2017 and has been one of the top performers in recent years. He played 192 games for the former champions in the Premier League before it was no longer enough to stay up at the end of the previous season. He made the bitter transition to the second division and has played in all four championship games since then.
